RECIPE TIPS
NANCY'S SLOW-COOKING TIP

In this recipe the cake is baked for two hours – but, if you have the time, it’s well worth cooking it at a lower temperature for longer: 110C/ 90C fan/gas 1/4 for 8 hours. I usually put it in
the oven just before going to bed, and take it out early the next morning. The benefit is that the cake bakes slowly while you are asleep and doesn’t occupy the oven during the day, when you may want to use it for other things.
